Enterprise Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 15, 2026

This Enterprise Privacy Policy (“Policy”) governs the data processing practices for business entities utilizing SiMClaire’s IoT, M2M, and Fleet Management services. This document serves as a supplement to our General Privacy Policy.

1. Scope of Enterprise Coverage

This policy applies to "Corporate Data" and "Machine-to-Machine (M2M) Data" generated by connected hardware, industrial sensors, and vehicle telematics units.

2. Data Collection: IoT & Fleet Specifications

To maintain network integrity and provide real-time management capabilities, SiMClaire collects the following data points from deployed hardware:

  • Technical Identifiers: We process the ICCID (eSIM identifier), IMEI (Device identifier), and IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity) to authenticate the device on global networks.
  • Network Metadata: We monitor data consumption volumes, connection timestamps, and session durations to provide accurate billing and prevent overages.
  • Connectivity Logs: Information regarding the specific Mobile Network Operator (MNO) being accessed at any given time to ensure roaming stability across 150+ countries.
  • Location Awareness: For Fleet Management, we process cell-tower triangulation and/or GPS coordinates transmitted by the device. This data is used exclusively for the Client’s visibility and is not shared with third-party advertisers.
  • Device Health: Basic telemetry regarding signal strength (RSSI) and network technology (e.g., NB-IoT, LTE-M, 5G) used for remote troubleshooting.

3. Purpose of Processing

Data collected under Point 2 is used solely for:

  • Operational Continuity: Ensuring devices automatically switch to the strongest signal in transit.
  • Centralized Management: Aggregating data across thousands of nodes for the Client's dashboard.
  • Security & Anti-Theft: Detecting unauthorized SIM usage or anomalous behavior in the fleet.
  • Compliance: Meeting international telecommunications reporting standards.

4. Data Confidentiality & Isolation

  • Payload Privacy: SiMClaire acts as a "pipe." We do not inspect the content (payload) of the data sent by your devices to your servers. We only process the routing metadata.
  • Logical Separation: Your enterprise data is logically isolated from our consumer travel database to ensure zero cross-contamination.

5. Retention & Security

  • Encryption: All enterprise metadata is encrypted using AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit.
  • Retention: Technical logs are stored for 12 months for auditing purposes before being permanently anonymized or deleted, unless otherwise specified in your Master Service Agreement (MSA).
